Thank you for considering to volunteer your time to Women In Need. Our volunteers contribute in many ways to our program. You may contribute your time and skills in any of the following areas:
DIRECT SERVICES: Volunteers will have direct contact with clients in the shelter, via the HOTLINE, and on domestic violence and sexual assault calls to the hospital.
EDUCATION: Our Prevention Education Department presents a variety of community events and programs in local schools teaching students about safety and where they can go for help. Volunteers can assist by helping to prepare and participate in these specific programs.
LEGAL ADVOCACY: Volunteers may accompany and support clients through the legal process with the help of staff.
SUPPORT GROUPS: Volunteers may help facilitate groups that are held weekly to provide ongoing support to our client base and their children.
WORK AROUND OUR OFFICE: We are always in need of help around the office, both inside and out, helping PE with educational materials, fundraising, and preparing for community events.
